Mechanical stress from lens mounting can silently degrade wavefront quality, alignment, and overall imaging performance, particularly in high-performance lens modules and aerial imaging. Drawing on real-world examples, David will walk through how these stresses propagate through a system, practical diagnostic methods to catch them, and engineering best practices to minimize stress-related aberrations in demanding optical applications.
