Gene Sequencing System
Problem
Customer needs to develop a quick inexpensive genome sequencing instrument but only has an instrument “concept”. The requirement is for rapid flow cell analysis, water immersion microscope lenses needing high powered diode lasers with superior polarization and beam quality. A quality manufacturable, reliable instrument is needed.
Solution
Optikos re-engineered the “concept” into a robust electro-optical design solving numerous conceptual, specification, component alignment and system issues. The E-O design enabled a truly reliable manufacturable instrument by either the customer of an alternative entity. Optikos was selected as the key production supplier of the Genome Sequencing Engine.
