Optikos was pleased to host an evening of innovation and technical insight for Optical Technologies for Improving Eye Care,” presented in partnership with the New England Section of Optica (NES Optica). The evening brought together professionals, researchers, and students from across the optics and vision‑science community for an engaging program of conversation, networking, and knowledge-sharing.

Guests enjoyed an illuminating presentation from Professor Susana Marcos, PhD, of the University of Rochester’s The Institute of Optics and Center for Visual Science.

Professor Marcos shared her groundbreaking work in visual optics and eye‑care technology, including advances in wavefront sensing, visual simulators, quantitative OCT, and elastography. Her talk highlighted how these innovations are shaping the future of ophthalmology and improving clinical care worldwide.

The event also provided time for attendees to connect, exchange ideas, and strengthen ties within the regional optics community. The high turnout and lively discussions throughout the evening reflected the strong interest in emerging optical technologies and their practical applications.

We appreciate everyone who joined us, both in person and online. You’re invited you to watch the full presentation from NES Optica’s You Tube page, along with a gallery of photos from the evening below.

We look forward to hosting future events that continue to inspire collaboration, learning, and innovation across the optical engineering community.
