Precision Optics for Life Sciences & Diagnostics

Modern life sciences and diagnostic systems demand uncompromising optical performance in increasingly compact, complex form factors. From in-vitro diagnostics and digital pathology to medical imaging and analytical instrumentation, image quality directly impacts clinical confidence, algorithm performance, and regulatory approval.

Enabling Reliable Diagnostics at Scale

NASA worked with Optikos to develop a system to characterize visible wavelength lenses used in the RESTORE-L payload.
NBC News Now - How NASA Plans to Use Robots to Refuel Satellites

Optikos delivered a unique quality measurement station designed to characterize the image quality of lens systems used on the NASA Restore-L Satellite Service Robots. These lenses act as the system’s “eyes” as it approaches and docks with a target satellite. To simulate docking conditions, a special Optikos LensCheck™ System projects resolution targets and measures the quality of lens imagery as the targets move from long to short range distances.

The Optikos team delivers complete space optics solutions from design and analysis to prototyping, verification testing, and sensor integration. We specialize in small-to-large diameter space-borne telescopes across diverse mission profiles. Our space optics serve critical applications including earth observation and mapping, multi-spectral and infrared imaging, space spectrometry, space-borne LiDAR, free space laser communications, astronomical observation, and planet finding.

Why Choose Optikos® for Life Sciences & Diagnostics?

As sciences move toward higher resolution, smaller footprints, and greater automation, optical variability becomes a critical risk. Image inconsistency can degrade algorithm performance, introduce bias, and ultimately lead to false positives or false negatives. Optikos works to reduce that risk by delivering tightly controlled optical performance — from early prototypes through regulated production environments.

High‑Performance Imaging in Tiny Spaces

We specialize in optical systems that deliver high resolution and contrast in compact assemblies — supporting diagnostic instruments, micro‑imaging systems, and custom objectives.

Precision Alignment to Improve Manufacturing Yields

Sub‑micron alignment accuracy is critical for both performance and yield. Explore precision alignment processes, custom fixtures, and in‑process metrology to improve repeatability and reduce waste.

Proven Validation & Metrology Methods

Validate MTF, distortion, illumination, color accuracy, and SNR with confidence — supporting both internal QA and regulatory submissions.

Trusted Supply Chain & Compliance

ISO:9001 certified with ITAR registration and a proven network of domestic and international manufacturing partners for reliable, compliant delivery.

You're In Safe Hands With Our Fully Credentialed Approach
