TTG - Test Target Generator

The Thermal Imager Test Target Generator is designed for measuring the performance of complete thermal imaging systems. It may be used as a stand alone instrument for measuring MRTD and MDTD subjectively, or as part of a system including a measurement device and the I-SITE software package for measuring these parameters objectively.
The Thermal Imager Test Target Generator consists of a variable temperature source and target. In normal operation, the source maintains a very precisely controlled temperature difference with respect to the target. Radiation from the source passes through one or more apertures in the target to produce a thermal contrast in the object space of the system under test. The temperature difference corresponding to a given contrast in the image is then the MRTD or MDTD for that particular target.
